what been happening since last blog

Hi all

well since my last blog, I have completed 6 christmas quilts for the grandchildren, five were reversable quilt as you go after having lessons at a workshop with Jenny Forbes. Finished the last one for GD1 on Christmas eve, breaking my own rules and completing the binding by machine worked out well thankfully as this was the first time and is was 11pm Christmas eve when started the binding but all good.

Last night had my second class of making a bag with the Wednesday nite ladies at Joy's Crafty Katz in Kalgoorlie. One of the ladies was sewing for the very first time and is coming along beautifully.

Will have to learn how to do photo's, have to get Nicky over to show me how when she gets back from visiting the other 'owls'.

Have made two scrap and denim shaggy quilts, still have to do the snipping back and fluffing up but will leave that until it is cooler as I need to use the dryer.

2010 will be the year to try and complete my ufo's (hahahaha), well will give it a burl.

Yippee Jocelyne Leath is coming to Kalgoorlie to do a thread play workshop in a couple of weeks can't wait.

Hi All

Went to Kalgoorlie with my friend Nicky to spend the day at Delia's and had a great day learning how to use my embroidery machine, very scared of it but did two good examples, just need to overcome the nerves and keep trying it out. It is a Brother Innovis 750D (disney version) so if anyone out there has one and could give me good advise I would really appreciate any help.

Heather dropped in for lunch which was delicious thanks to Delia. I brought along some choc chip biscuits my daughter made yummy she is such a good cook, did not get that from her mother (me) I hate cooking love to sew though.

Good morning All

This is my first blog so is an exercise to see if I can do it.

Ron and I live in Kambalda in Western Australia and have been here since 1975. We are both retired now but still live here as both our kids are still here with their own families.

We have just come back from babysitting my sister-in-laws house and two dogs while they all went off on holiday to America.

SIL (not a sewer) did very well and bought some lovely things in Hawaii will post photos later when I work out how to do this.
